Please note the following is a quick reference and should be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions.

How can I make a booking?

Bookings can be made by telephoning 01325 374278 or 07774 116 962 or by e-mailing Morsedenham@aol.com

How much is the deposit and when is the payment due?

We require 100 at the time of booking. We accept either cheque or bank transfer. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the commencement date. We do not require a housekeeping or other deposit except at Becksteps and Fernleigh where we require 50 as a refundable parking permit deposit. In the event that a booking is made within 8 weeks of the commencement we require the fee plus 50 when the deposit applies. We return the the deposit within 10 days of your departure.

How do we access the property, what time can we arrive and what do we do when we leave?

 

We will send you a key or access instructions a few days before the commencement of the letting. We operate a 'key safe' arrangement that allows you to arrive to meet your travel plans. The properties are available from 3pm on the commencement day. If you arrive before that time you may not be able to access the property as we take a pride in the preparation.

What time do you have to depart

It is important that you leave no later than 10am. When you leave you simply lock the door and return the keys to the safe. No need to return them to an agency. Please note that we take pride in the preparation of the property and this takes time.

What is provided?

We try to provide almost everything you may need to meet your immediate needs. There will be tea towels, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet rolls, basic cleaning materials, a few dishwasher tablets. These consumable items are intended to get you 'on your way'. The kitchen will have a comprehensive list of crockery, utensils and pots and pans. We can make a travel cot available but we do not provide cot bedding.

Are towels and linen provided.

Yes, and you will find the beds made up with towels for all visitors. In the event that you stay for more than one week we provide clean linen and towels each Saturday.

Please note that the cleaners do not clean 'occupied' cottages.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, well behaved pets are welcome. However, it is important that they are not allowed to foul the garden and they are not allowed on the soft furnishings. Please note that for the benefit of others there must be no trace or evidence of their presence when you leave.

Should we take out holiday insurance?

You are strongly advised to do so. If, for whatever reason you are unable to take your holiday you will still be liable for the rental. Please see the terms and conditions. for further explanation.

Are heating and other services included?

We provide full central heating at no extra cost. The gas boilers are initially set to work twice daily but your able to manage the use according to your needs. We trust that you will be reasonable in your use! There may be an open hearth. In which case we do not provide coal or logs. They are available locally and the milkman will deliver at Clappersgate. There are no other charges.

Do we have to pay for cleaning?

No, you cottage is cleaned for your arrival and we ask our visitors to leave the property as you find it. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the condition upon your arrival you must let us know. We ask visitors to empty bins, wash pots and pans and empty the dishwasher and clean the open fire hearth. Please note we do reserve the right to make an additional charge in the event that the property has been left in an unreasonable condition. We draw your attention to the terms and conditions..

What happens if we cannot get something to work?

You telephone us, the owners. We have gas maintenance contracts with British Gas and they will deal with such matters. We can access other trades as and when required. You are dealing with owner/ managers and we take a personal interest in your comfort and we are committed in the service we provide. You will not be in the hands of an agent.
