This traditional stone built terraced Lakeland cottage occupies a wonderful central setting commanding magnificent views over the surrounding mountains. In the absolute heart of this picturesque village on the village green this is somewhere to  escape, relax and soak up the many delights Grasmere has to offer.

 

 

The comfortable lounge with traditional living fire has views of Silver Howe. The floor is oak. The dining area easily seats four has views towards Arthur's Seat. The fully equipped kitchen has washing machine, dish washer, gas cooker, 2 fridges and all the usual appliances. (There is a tumble drier and freezer in one of the substantial traditional stone and slate outbuildings). The stairs lead to the fully carpeted first floor with two bedrooms and fully tiled and recently refurbished shower / WC rooms. There are views of the fells to the north, east and west from both front and back bedrooms.

Full gas central heating and double glazed throughout.

The small but secure yard to the rear gives access to the main outbuilding and the coal store. Garden furniture is provided.

Grasmere is very popular and for your convenience we provide a parking permit allowing you to park one car at the  Wordsworth Hotel throughout the year. The Wordsworth Hotel is only 100 metres away .

Grasmere is just so accessible for everything. No need to drive. Walks from the door in abundance and in every direction. The bus services are frequent and varied with easy access to Keswick to the north and Ambleside, Windermere and Kendal to the south. The bus stops on the other side of the green. Little wonder they say Grasmere is the heart of the lakes.

   

Well behaved dogs are welcome.
